Film names

After much discussion about film names, we came up with a range of titles and eventually narrowed it down to one.

Idea 1; 1974- As this was the year she went missing, we thought that it was straight forward, simple and also quite powerful. It can also have a lot of contextual meaning, the audience initial thought of the title '1974' wouldn't be a horror film, it could mean anything. We decided against this as we thought it would be too simple, and not innocent enough.

Idea 2: MISSING- We once again liked the simplicity of this name however, we felt it was too cliche and because of this we felt it wouldn't grab the audience.

Idea 3: THE DISSAPEARANCE OF BONNIE LAWSON- We quite liked this name, as it seemed almost as though it was a clipping from a news article. However the downside was that it was quite long for a film name, and we preferred it to be snappy and striking.

Idea 4: DISSAPEARANCE- We then went on to narrow it down from The dissapearance of Bonnie Lawson to just dissaperance keeping to our rule that we'd use one word as our title. We thought this was also a bit too cliche and sounded more like a documentary than a film name.

Idea 5: EXODUS- As we liked Dissapearance so much we decided to research into synonyms for it. We found this name Exodus, and all decided that it was quite mysterious and really fit the film. It also sounds like a name you would associate with a horror film, and it has quite a deep meaning to it therefore we all decided this would be what our film is called.
